South African Paramedic Services seek the employment of medical professionals at the Emergency Care Technicians level (ECT) for positions nationwide.
Reporting structure: National Operations Manager
Role Summary
Adhere to the highest level of integrity and professionalism while working within a dynamic multi-organizational industry.
Provide quality patient care aligned with the current ECT scope of practice.
Promote a high level of operational performance and patient experience through quality delivery of services and patient interaction.
Implementation and maintenance of quality assurance controls to ensure that operational efficiencies and on scene management is coordinated to improve patient outcomes.
KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Efficient display of patient assessment, management and care that comply with clinical governance as laid out by the HPCSA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to treat clients in a professional manner.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
• Quality assurance to maintain work standards and integrity of data reporting.
• Effective control of vehicle and equipment.
• Compliance to Health and Safety Regulations.
• Display and adhere and to sound clinical knowledge of HPCSA protocols & CPD Compliance.
• Compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Coaching and mentoring of operational crew.
• Assist with the management, quality control and efficient use of fleet and logistics.
SKILLS PROFILE
• Current registration with the Professional Board of Emergency Care at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Emergency Care Technician (ECT).
• Must have a valid PDRP for passengers and a valid Code 08/10 Drivers License.
