My client, an international Security Consultancy with operations across the globe are now seeking Medics to also act as Deputy Team Leaders for their operations in country.
You will be reporting to the Team Leader and you will assist him in the day to day routine of a PSD team as well as being the team medic, for both the team and clients.
Therefore your key responsibilities will include:-
• Supporting the PSD TL in the command and control of the PSD team
• Ensuring that all the medical equipment is in full working order
• Maintain all equipment and medicines are in a sterile state and before use by dates
• Provide immediate emergency medical support to personnel
• Liaise with specialist medical departments, i.e. evac teams etc.
• Maintain contemporary knowledge of clinical guidelines and treatments
• Take full responsibility of the team when the TL is on leave or when required
• Prepare and conduct briefings to the PSD team, clients and management during the planning and execution of a mission
• Report all incidents according to SOP's
To be qualified for this role you will need the following minimum qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years experience working as a T2 Medical practitioner
• You must hold one of the following:-
a. HPC Registered Paramedic or equivalent, which is current and in date
b. HSE Offshore Medic Certificate
c. Registered Nurse with critical care qualification
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
• Fully vaccinated against, Diphtheria/Tetanus, Polio, Typhoid, Rabies, Hepatitis A&B and TB
You will also need the following experience and skills:
• Min of 5 years experience in UK or Commonwealth military forces with operational and medical support experience in hostile locations
• Experience in working and training with multi national personnel
• Physically fit, as you will need to demonstrate the ability to evacuate a casualty wearing body armour and all medical equipment
• Proven supervision skills in high risk areas
• Good IT skills in MS Office programs
• Good safe weapon handling skills
In return they are offering and excellent salary base with a 9 and 3 week rotation, with all travel, food, accommodation and insurance being carried by the client while in country.
