Location: Cape Town
The SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service is a non-profit organization committed to the upliftment of the quality of life of all communities by facilitating access to Health Care through Air Ambulance, Rescue and Flying Doctor Outreach Services.
The BLS/ILS NOC-Co-ordinator will be based in Cape Town and will report to the National Operations Centre Supervisor.
The ideal applicant must have:
• Minimum qualification of Basic Ambulance Assistant
• Registration with the HPCSA as a BAA or AEA.
• Strong computer literacy: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access.
• Previous EMS Control Room experience and aero-medical experience advantageous.
• Own transport is essential
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans
Must be a South African citizen
• Other Southern African languages advantageous.
• Good administrative skills, team worker, ability to multi-task and work under pressure, excellent telephone and interpersonal skills required.
• Applicants should have a flexible approach to working hours and be prepared to do relief work at other bases in South Africa.
• Shift work, including night-shift.
