Emergency Care Lecturers Wanted (Paramedic ALS)


Location : Johannesburg


Provide academic leadership in the development, review and implementation of curriculum

· Teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels
· Participate in research and other activities of the department
· Mentor junior staff in areas of lecturing, research reports, examination preparation and records keeping.
· Assist management in decision making and development of policies
Exercise appropriate planning, presentation and lecture room management skills
Develop appropriate materials for assigned lecturers and produce innovative lecturing methods
Assist with the student orientation and advising at the beginning of the semester
Treat all students fairly and impartially, maintaining cultural sensitivity
Monitoring, assessing and marking trainees work
Conduct and run simulations/laboratory demonstrations
Ensure the effective and efficient use and running of the skills laboratories
Carry out research and produce publications, or other research outputs, in line with objectives agreed in the staff review process and obtain research funding support
Contribute to and be pro-active in the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum
To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining accurate records to monitor trainee progress, achievement and attendance· Carry out any other duties assigned by the Head of Department
