Registration with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa as a Medical Practitioner
Current ATLS, ACLS and APLS Certificates recommended
Candidate wishing to complete MPhil in Emergency Medicine would be welcomed and supported
Good communication and interpersonal skills required
Key Outputs:
Management of all medical and surgical emergencies
Arrangements with doctors to staff the units
Managing and training of Service Provider's Paramedics
Ensure staff in the unit are adequately trained and qualified
General Unit administration
Stay updated with developments within the Emergency medicine field
Night and weekend duties will be required
Participation in active quality improvement programme and clinical governance
Participation in all unit activities including Community Events
