Trauma and Casualty Doctors Needed Urgently

Requirements:

• Registration with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa as a Medical Practitioner
• Current ATLS Certificate would be a recommendation
• Current ACLS Certificate
• Current APLS or PALS Certificate will be a recommendation
• Experience in accident and emergency management
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required

Key Outputs:

• General unit administration
• Management of all medical and surgical emergencies
• Arrangements with doctors to staff the unit
• Managing and training of service provider's paramedics
• Ensure staff in the unit is adequately trained and qualified
• Stay updated with developments within the Emergency Medicine field
• Night shift and weekend duties will be required
• Participation in an active quality improvement programme
