Salary: R314 691 - R532 089 per annum
Requirements:
ECT, National Diploma or Paramedic qualification
3 years' experience after registration with the HPCSA
3-5 years' management experience
Valid Code 10 driver's licence.

Knowledge of BLS. ILS and ALS protocols
Understanding EMS and its line of business
Knowledge of Basic Medical Rescue
Knowledge of rules and regulations of Road and Traffic ordinance
Knowledge of HPCSA regulations
Communication skills
Computer literacy (eg PowerPoint, Excel Word)
Practical patient management
Ability to implement emergency procedures
Ability to work under pressure
Cross-cultural awareness
Interpersonal sensitivity and thoroughness
Interpersonal patience, tolerance and empathy
Honesty and positive approach.
Duties:
Be responsible for all EMS activities in the District
Compile and manage the budget within the district in conjunction with the Provincial Office
Provide advice on procedures and policy matters to staff and ensure compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures in the service
Ensure that fleet management is properly implemented to provide for the maintenance and replacement of all EMS vehicles in the District
Investigate all complaints (internal and external) and fraudulent activities with action taken and report to the Provincial Office
Correlate all relevant statistics and data and compile reports which must be sent to the Provincial Office
Assist the Provincial Operational Manager in the control and implementation of EMS policies
Respond to all major incidents to assist and coordinate such incidents in the operational area
Ensure that effective strategies are implemented for meeting the needs of the community
Undertake any other duties as allocated by Director or Operational Manager.
