Post Description:
The Department of Emergency Medical Care is involved and responsible for the coordination and facilitation of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Emergency Medical Care at the University of Johannesburg.
- The successful incumbent will responsible for work-integrated learning for undergraduate emergency medical care students.
- Be involved in simulation-based, clinical and operational activities within the Department of Emergency Medical Care.
- Form an integral part of the clinical learning platform in conjunction with partner hospitals and emergency medical care providers.
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Emergency Medical Care.
- Preference will be given to those applicants who hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Care.
- 3 years operational experience within a recognised clinical environment.
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a paramedic or Emergency Care Practitioner.
Recommendations:
- Experience in a teaching/educational/academic environment.
- A Master's degree in Emergency Medical Care.
- Experience as a Senior Clinician in a relevant clinical environment.
- Familiarity with the Higher Education environment.
