Locum BLS Firefighter Anglo American Sishen

In this role, you will be responsible for rendering basic ambulance duties in and outside the Mine, driving all types of fire and rescue vehicles used by the Emergency Services Section and fighting all types of fires that may break out on or around the Mine. Assisting with all vehicle, water, high-area and aircraft rescues and with mopping up operations of Hazardous Material spillage on or around the Mine will also fall to you. All of the above duties will be performed on an ad hoc basis. Due to the nature of the work involved, you must be willing to work irregular hours and, when required, over weekends and on public holidays according to a standby duty roster.

To be successful, you need a Grade 12 and must have completed a Fire Prevention Association Workplace Fire Fighting 1 Course and Basic Ambulance Assistant Course. A valid Code EC 1 driver's licence is essential. You must be willing to undergo various formal and practical training courses on an ongoing basis. In order to perform the duties attached to this role, you need to be in a fit condition and capable of handling heavy emergency equipment and must not be afraid of working at heights, in water or adverse weather conditions.

Remuneration:
This role is Level S6

The initial salary will be determined in accordance with Kumba Iron Ore regulations
