The successful Paramedic will be responsible for all healthcare and emergency situations at the holiday resort. Other duties of this paramedic will includeensuring the safety of the guest usingtheir aquatic facilities by preventing and responding to water caused emergencies. The successful incumbent must have the ability to react calmly and effectively in all emergency situations. Skills in the application of life guarding, surveillance, rescue techniques andfirst aid is essential.
Requirements:
Must at least have grade 12 or equivalent
Must have completed a Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA) Course
Must at have first aid level 3 with solid experience in CPR and emergency cases
Excellent experience and knowledge in basic assessment techniques of emergency situations
Excellent experience and knowledge in basic lifesaving skills and maneuvers
Handling of emergency cases and attending health related queries
Coordination of emergency procedures and the provision of first aid in emergency situations
Patrol the pool area to ensure the safety of the guest in the swimming pools
Enforce specific pool and safety rules at all times
Ensure the cleanness around the swimming pools at all times
Prevent drowning and injuries
Maintaining of health and safety programs
Report of any irregular/ unacceptable behavior
Filing and related administration work
Assist with the monthly stock take of first aid kit/equipment
Be able to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a customer orientated, friendly manner
Must be fluent in English and AfrikaansPerson must be willing to relocate to the resort where accommodation will be provided.
