Job description
Role and responsibilities:
Provide offshore primary medical care service and liaises with onshore medical services as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient medical records in accordance with CNRI requirements.
Provide appropriate referral documentation for medevac cases and liaise with appropriate logistics personnel for the safe transfer of any such medevacs. The medic will also contact and provide details to the Topside Emergency Cover Doctor for management and treatment of medevac cases.
Ensure a high degree of accuracy in prescribing habits, diagnostic acumen, records and checking dangerous
drugs.
Order and control stocks of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals working within the budget criteria
Control all prescriptions, other medications and equipment used in dealing with sick and injured personnel.Ensure appropriate distribution and storage of medical supplies around installation and sickbay.
Maintain the installation medical facility including stocks and equipment. Conduct regular checks on condition of first aid equipment, eye wash stations in line with CNRI requirements.
Actively participate and plan Platform emergency response for major medical incidents and supervise stretcher party in emergency and accident situations.
Provide, in conjunction with shore based medical services, immediate and life sustaining treatment to ill or injured personnel, until such times as they can be evacuated to definitive care ashore.
Provide 24 hour on site first contact healthcare advice, and where appropriate, treatment for all installation personnel.
Carry out heli admin duties as required. Vantage POB training will be given.
Carry out project work or initiatives with HSEQ and Company Medical Advisers, either as part of an offshore visit or onshore in Bridge View.
Act as Petrofac Focal Point
General assistance to the platform management team.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Offshore Medic certificate
Medical First Aid Team Leader
Preferably experience in a Medics position offshore
