Paramedics Required in the United Arab Emirates
National Ambulance provides emergency pre-hospital care to government and private clients in the UAE. This care is provided through highly trained paramedical staff drawn from around the world.
National Ambulance is currently searching for suitably qualified paramedics from Australia and New Zealand.
In order to be licensed as a Paramedic in Abu Dhabi you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Have a current Authority to Practice
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Health Science, Paramedic Science, Emergency Health, or dual degree such as Bachelor of Paramedic Science, Bachelor of Nursing
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic with an up to date CME portfolio (ACLS,PALS and PHTLS/ITLS)
Advanced Care Paramedics are encouraged to apply as they also are exempt from the licensing examination.
In addition, National Ambulance is seeking applicants who have the ability to meet deadlines, maintain accuracy/attention to detail and multi-task.
Compensation packages are highly competitive and vary based on position requirements, but packages start from approximately AUD75,000 + housing + health insurance + leave flights to home country + CME education. Salary is paid in AED and there is no income tax in UAE.
