About The Company
Our client is a large multinational company that supplies offshore vessels and specialised services to the Oil & Gas industry worldwide. In several weeks they are due to commence working on an offshore platform construction project based in Thai Waters with Singapore as the home port.

About the Role
We are currently looking for a highly experienced HSE Manager with Paramedic Qualifications to lead the Safety Team of TWO HSE Officers and a ONE Doctor on board a large "Heavy Lift Barge" that has been tasked to be the main lift vessel for this construction project.

Working closely with on shore HSE management, senior ship officers, deck managers and 150 + crew you will be responsible for all safety procedures and systems for this project which has a focus on "heavy lift" offshore construction.

The main tasks of this role include the following;
Reviewing, auditing and improving current safety procedures
Liaising, advising and directing all crew in safety procedures
Directing X2 HSE Officers that will provide support
Assisting the Ships Doctor with any injury from minor to emergency evacuation
Overseeing and implementing environmental procedures on the vessel
Job specific safety analysis and procedures for crew
Conducting pre start and post job safety meetings
Conducting inductions and maintaining the induction register
Educating and informing crew on safety
Gathering extensive information from senior personnel in all job details so you have the information required to ensure you develop lift plans to the highest standard
Document control in registers, controlled documents, procedural and safety

Start Date & Roster
Mid June has been approved for the Pre mobilisation work which will be based in Singapore. This will involve numerous work tasks from inductions and training to preparing systems and documentation for the upcoming project

From Singapore your rotation will be finalised with management, with an early to mid August deployment to Thailand.

Qualifications
To be considered for the role you will need the following certificates and qualifications or equivalent as a minimum to be considered. Please provide all documents in English.

The main qualifications and training required include;
University level: Diploma or BA in OH&S or higher
Medic or Paramedic qualification - Diploma Level or higher
BOSIET or HUET
UKOOA Medical that was completed less than 6 months ago
NEBOSH
STCW95 - Safety Module

Experience Requirements
We are seeking candidates that have at least 5 years experience in a senior role as a HSE Manager working offshore either on platforms or vessels. Candidates that have had HSE Management experience especially in offshore construction are encouraged to apply.

Working with Foreign Crew
Our client has requested a candidate that has 5 + years experience in an offshore role working on projects where the crew members come from all corners of the globe with the majority having English as a second language.

Been able to communicate effectively to crew from various Nationalities is essential as well as having the cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Your Location
We are seeking Expats or South East Asian based candidates of any Nationality, that are currently living and are available in desired time frames in South East Asia especially those located in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia or Philippines.

Pay Rates & Remuneration
Depending on your experience the pay rate will vary between $400.00 to $700.00 USD per day while offshore with a rate of approximately 40% less when onshore and working on the pre deployment tasks or training.
