Location: Cape Town
The SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Care Technician with a National Certificate in Emergency Care, and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
Requirements: Must be a South African Citizen
A minimum of 2 years operational road ambulance experience.
Intensive Care Transport module
Aviation Healthcare Provider Course preferred.
Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
Safety conscious.
Duties: Shift work. Operational aero-medical duties on Helicopter and Fixed Wing, control of medical equipment & supplies, operational related functions, training, general administration and be prepared to participate in the co-ordination of flights and other duties as required from time to time. Hoist operator and rescue training may form part of the duties required.
Competencies: Co-operative team players capable of dealing with changing deadlines and priorities.
Flexibility with changing requirements regarding working hours and days.
Supportive of continual safety and quality improvement.
Ability to work cooperatively in culturally diverse environments.
Reliable transport and pre-employment screening and fitness assessment mandatory
Preference will be given in terms of the AMS’s Employment Equity Policy.
